The keys require a little more pressure than what you may be used to on a macbook but it will only take you a few minutes to get used to it. If you're a fast typer you'll be a little slower than your ususal and by the time you reach this word, you'll be typing fast again. The best feature about this keyboard is its slim profile, all the function keys (including the home button). The iPad will go to sleep once you snap it into the keyboard. Perfect integration and good look and protection. You won't regret this purchase and the price is really good when compared to other keyboards I've tried. It all evens out with regular shipping but just annoying that it took them 3 days to ship it. Pros: Pretty high quality for the low cost. I shopped around and decided to risk it with this one. Definitely happy I went this route. Functional keys on the top of the keyboard (like screen brightness, etc) all work and keyboard has arrow keys (a blessing, I think). My thoughts: Again, totally surprised at the quality of this thing for only ~$30. It took me a while to settle on a keyboard and I mainly picked this one because it satisfied what I was looking for and was the cheapest. The description says "Aluminum" but it does not have any aluminum parts whatsoever. 100% plastic! It does protect the iPad pretty well when it's stored and snaped in face down towards the keys. When in use, it does hold the iPad up very well and the battery does seem to last forever on a charge. Keys are slightly akward at first, but you will get used to it. Overall, I'm happy - but I would not have paid that much had I know it was 100% plastic. Part of my reason for ordering this model was the fact that it said "aluminum" and since the iPads are aluminum that's what I wanted. |
