I thought she would benefit from a quick-access (from the Kindle app) guide to answer her basic questions. She thought so, too. A quick look through Damon Brown's book made it seem like a perfect fit. It is organized like a "grand tour" of the device that visits and explains each setting, feature and app. Thorough chapters cover iPad basics, apps, music and video, photos, books, connectivity, and productivity. A closing chapter provides some useful tips and tricks. And the book assumes no prior knowledge of the iPad. While Amy had little knowledge of the iPad--I've been a little stingy with mine--she is a long-time iPhone user. Most of the information in this book covers aspects of the iPad that are either identical or very close to iPhone functionality.
